We don't need an HR department
In the most surreal thing that's even happened to me at work my boss, the company owner, just brought me beer while I am working and insisted I drink. He then distributed beer to all of my employees. This policy is likely to help hiring tremendously. I can imagine the interviews now. "Well, we don't pay that well, and we have no benefits, but the beer is on us." In no time at all I'll have 50 frat boy applicants that won't leave. Now I have to run some numbers and see if a kegger is cheaper than our current payroll.

Movin' on up
As a point of clarification, I've mentioned my job in numerous former posts. Much of the impetus for this site was to help relieve the crushing boredom and deep apathy I picked up from my crappy job. I left that job earlier this year. Especially since my new boss knows about this site I want to make certain I clarify that all previous references to my job relate to that previous job and not the current one. My current job is much less soul crushing. Actually I've moved into management. I'm now the crusher instead of the crushee.
That said since much of what I wrote here was born of spite and venom acquired and passed on from the old job material has been harder to come by. This explains the significant gap in posts for much of the end of last year and the beginning of this one. Since I'm pretty well settled into the new job I should have time now to work up to the level of rancor required to keep the site updated.
